Four Sites, One Brand Identity

Four websites, one consistent brand identity. Last week, we launched a series of sites for 360 Creative Event Services, all fully aligned with their new look and feel and connected to the latest social media.

Each site was developed to cover the work of their individual divisions, while showing their consistent ethos and identity. Key elements included an individual marque for each company, stylish animation and a central social media hub.

The hub brings together all of 360’s social media content from LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr into one central resource, allowing site visitors to connect quickly and easily via whatever social profile they prefer.

Simon Burton, Commercial Director of 360 said,

“We wanted to create websites that reflected our different audiences without diluting our identity. Fathom helped us achieve exactly that.”

Our Costa Rican Adventure

We’ve always loved the great outdoors, so when we were approached by this Costa Rican Adventure travel company we were in our element. But how could we capture the excitement of their trips in their branding?

We worked closely with Coast to Coast to understand the spirit and vision of their brand, researched the market and got to the heart of their unique point of difference. Unfortunately, no field research was involved, but that didn’t stop the website from pulling all the right strings.

“We’re very happy with the website and it’s received an excellent response. One of our agents is even concerned that we’ll steal her business as our site is much better than hers!”

Here at Fathom, we can’t wait to fly out and give it a go ourselves. As the locals would say, ‘Pura Vida!’

Fish stocks depleted after Fathom Fishers reel them in.

Our 5th annual fishing extravaganza provided a medley of fruits from the sea. 3 miles out in somewhat choppy conditions; off Old Harrys’ Rocks, past Swanage; Shark, Pollock, Bream, Mackeral and Seaweed Fish were caught in abundance. But the species of the day was the predetator of the ocean, Sea Bass. Each Fathom-Fisher landed a sizeable 2-4lb Bass in the mouth of Poole Harbour. And how we are all looking forward to our tea tonight which simply reads; ridiculously fresh line-caught sea bass…on a plate. Yum.

$10 Million Creative Campaign

‘Don’t gamble with your network’ was the concept behind this high-impact promotion. Developed for network optimisation company, SwissQual, this poker-themed campaign gave prospects a win-win proposition.

The core offer was simple: each SwissQual poker chip gave prospective clients $10,000 off their order, provided it was worth over a specified amount. With 1000 chips created, the total campaign featured $10 million of free services. But, of course, the real winner was never in doubt.

Head of Marketing and Sales, Chris Larmour commented,

“Fathom consistently outperforms expectations. They come up with jaw-droppingly brilliant ideas that just rocket the brand into a new orbit – ideas that seem so simple and elegant, that actually depend on careful, insightful creative analysis and remarkable design talent.”

Every element of this campaign was fully integrated and developed to tie-in with the casino feel, from the authentic ceramic poker-chips to the microsite and booklet. Since launch the feedback from both internal sales teams and customers has been excellent. You can view the microsite here.

New Brand all Packaged Up

South West Packaging approached us in need of a company rebrand and we were delighted to help this innovative packaging company out. Their ‘can-do’ attitude and bespoke engineering needed to come to the fore and this materialised with a 3-d box as their company marque. We quickly realised that what they did was going unnoticed by many customers. Their full service offering was not being clearly defined or promoted so we looked at sub-sectioning their brand through their process of; Design, Print, Create and Recycle. This helped create the content and flow for the website and marketing collateral. Detailed close-up photography by Fathom, showing the packaging in product-situ helps demonstrate the quality and precision of the finished projects.

Special branding for seating specialists

Craftwood Interiors are the leading specialists in the manufacture of bespoke banquette seating. They pride themselves on their proven reputation for quality seating and professional, friendly service. So we produced a modern, unfussy and clean typographical identity. The unique-ness in the logo was the oo’s that created a seating shape that Craftwood produce and manufacture. Once the logo was created and set, Brand Guidelines were designed to ensure total consistency for the roll out of signage, workwear, brochures, advertising and online activity.

Sally Papworth, Marketing Manager commented,

“Its all been so well received. Lovely, really throws everything else into the shade. Please pass our thanks to the team for a job very well done. Thank you all”

Full Fathom rebrand for South West Energy company

Following a 4 way pitch, we were commissioned to ‘Fathom-ise’ this renewable energy company across all areas in a compelling and truly consistent manner. After considerable market research we created a stunning “infinity” identity that derived from the notion of a constant and green energy source. This ‘flowing identity’ was then implemented across all off and online items; from exhibition materials to office signage, from promotional leaflets to press advertising, from vans & workwear to a corporate brochure.

After a Fathom photo-shoot of their products and installations in action, a website is currently being worked on and will be launched by us soon.

Fathom helps Splashdown increase online sales by 400%

Splashdown Waterparks; the UK’s biggest outdoor waterpark, engaged the complete branding services of Fathom and we have recently launched their exciting new identity, website and promotional literature.

After a brand audit, we produced a refresh of their identity that held onto some of the brand heritage that Splashdown had built up over the years. A set of Brand Guidelines that specified all usages, templates and do’s & dont’s was then compiled to ensure the identity rolled out smoothly and accurately across stationery, merchandise and press advertising. Promotional literature with an illustrative style map was produced that mirrored the new website that was designed and programmed alongside it.

The website was designed to be fun, informative and easy to navigate and its new e-commerce feature has had immediate results with an increase of their online sales by over 400%.

“The new website and branding Fathom has designed and implemented has given us a much more professional image that we carry right through the business from leaflets, merchandise, corporate stationery and signage. It all looks fantastic but we are especially delighted with the website; our fan base has grown by almost 1500 since the website launched. We are spectacularly pleased with the online ticket portal, the results have been staggering compared with the previous site’s performance. It just goes to show what a fantastic website can do. Without the the new branding and website there’s no way it would’ve had the same impact. Our like for like gross sales were up by over 20%. On a personal note we have found the guys at Fathom to be extremely professional but incredibly friendly – as well as great at their jobs!”

Design and branding of quality for oak building business

Established in 1980, Westwind have been producing beautifully crafted oak buildings for 30 years. Their main selling points are the exceptional quality of their work and their ability to offer the personal service of a family-run business.  Our challenge was to reflect these messages in their communications.

We developed a new identity that represented the values of the business and then applied it to a new corporate brochure and stationery – all using FSC certified paper stocks, of course. The focus was on the quality of their workmanship and attention to detail – but with an element of fun appropriate for a friendly, hands-on business. The design carried through to their website, which includes a wide range of case studies and an engaging gallery area that enables customers to really feel the quality of their work, online.

Fathom listened and responded to what we wanted, and then patiently went back to the drawing board when we changed our minds! We are constantly complimented on our website and brochure, they communicate the exact message that we want to give our clients. Thank you, we’re delighted.”

Bringing Swiss Quality to SwissQual

SwissQual approached Fathom with an excellent client list, strong heritage and an enviable reputation. But over the years their branding had fallen behind. We’ve helped refresh their full corporate identity, bringing it up to date and rolling it out across their communications.

“Fathom consistently outperforms expectations. Even within the tight restrictions of a recent brand refresh they came up with jaw-droppingly brilliant ideas that just rocketed the brand into a new orbit – ideas that seem so simple and elegant, that actually depend on careful, insightful creative analysis and remarkable design talent.”

Head of Marketing, SwissQual

SwissQual is one of the largest independent providers of quality measurement of mobile and fixed telecommunication networks. Our challenge was to revive their branding so it reflects the business today – and in the future. To do this, we applied our 360˚ approach – delving deeper into the organisation’s brand and creating consistency across all their every communication, both on and offline.

Deeper, wider, closer

Our first step was to develop an in-depth picture of SwissQual and get to the core of their business, so we carried out a series of brand workshops with all their employees in their Head Office in Switzerland.

Once the key messages were defined and a creative route agreed, we headed for the Alps, photographers in tow. There, we captured a portfolio of shots that epitomise the rugged robustness of SwissQual’s engineering – and created the line ‘All terrain technology’ to help bring the message to life.

Back at base camp, we rolled out the refreshed brand across everything from their website to corporate and product literature, from exhibition stands and event collateral to templates and direct mail campaigns. The branding now even adorns their office interior, exterior and fleet of vehicles.

The result is a bold and fresh identity that reflects the strength and durability of their engineering – and the extreme conditions their technology can endure – all underpinned by a strong sense of Swiss quality.
